What type of writer are you- do you start with pre programmed drum grooves, or write a riff and program drums from scratch?

I’ve found these @toontrack drum MIDI packs perfect when you need an existing rhythm to start riffing immediately until something sticks. You can always take a groove as a starter, then tailor it to your riff easily in the program or your DAW. These MIDI packs are also great if you’re new to programming drums so that you can get a good visual in the drum editor as to how a drummer would play a certain groove.
